This class is for District of Columbia (DC) Residents & Non-Residents. This 2-day class meets the requirements necessary for students to apply for their Washington D.C. Concealed Carry License through the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD).
Once obtained through the MPD, the license will allow citizens to wear, carry or transport a firearm in DC. The class consists of sixteen (16) hours of classroom instruction on pistol basics including the parts of a pistol and pistol actions, basic firearm safety, fundamentals of pistol shooting, a review of basic marksmanship, defensive shooting fundamentals, the legal aspects of using deadly force, and instruction on DC specific laws on self-defense.
