We’re excited to announce that we’ve added three new courses to our calendar. NRA Range Safety Officer Training, Florida/ Utah Concealed Carry and NRA Personal Protection in the Home are each unique courses that our security training academy can now deliver to students across Maryland! Let’s learn a little bit about each new addition!
NRA Range Safety Officer Training
This training program was created as a response to the widespread expressed interest in a nationally standardized range safety officer certification. Students of this course will develop the skills needed to demonstrate the knowledge and attitude essential to organizing, conducting, and supervising safe shooting activities and range operations. After the course, attendees will put these skills to the test in a Range Safety Officer test.
Florida and Utah Conceal and Carry Permits
Why exactly would a Maryland resident choose to obtain their Florida and Utah CCW permit? If you are someone who travels often, this course is 100% worth the time. In addition to getting permission to carry legally in those states, you’ll also be considered eligible to carry in many other states across the country. Here is a list of the states that honor Utah’s and Florida‘s wear and carry permits.
Keep in mind that Maryland isn’t listed for either state! In order to legally carry a concealed firearm in the state of Maryland, you’ll have to obtain your Maryland CCW as well.
NRA Personal Protection in the Home
A home break-in occurs roughly every 26 seconds in the US. This course demonstrates the skills, knowledge, attitude and efficient handgun usage needed to protect one’s self, family and property in the event of a breach and enter situation. Ultimately, students will feel ready to defend themselves while adhering to Maryland law after course completion.
In addition to the 100 round shooting portion of the course, we also cover self-defense, strategies for general home safety (before a break-in takes place) and advice for selecting the perfect home defense weapon for your specific needs.
